There are various reasons about the 'why' that this could be happening, actually, but I'm just gonna enumerate the two most realistic ones (under my modest opinion):

1. You're (hopefully not) getting followed by the kind of people that does the 'I follow you and you follow me back' technique to easily gain up more followers and that's currently waiting for you to follow them back (wich I advice you to not do it, because believe me, it's not worthy. Real followers arrive with time and patience, not just from the thin air).

2. People is recently discovering your drawings, they've liked it, and, in result of that, you're getting followed it doesn't matter if the art isn't 'new'. If people discovers it and likes it, they'll probably decide to give it support in any way they can, wich that includes giving a follow to your account as a clear signal that they want to see more of your 'artistic skills'.

...I'm quite sure that there could way more reasons, but as I said, I think that those are the most 'accurate' and 'realistic' asides from the possible rest of them.
